The Toronto, Canada Public Library has placed one million Canadian photos online as a digital archive. To the right side is the list of seven different categories of photos. They go from people, places in Toronto, buildings, farms, transportation, entertainment to wars & conflicts. With each category are several thousand images.
Photos are from several locations, not just Toronto, but most are in the province of Ontario. There is a search box or check out each of the categories. There is a thumbnail size of each image and a brief description. Click on a selection for more details and to see the enlarged image. You can right click to save it to the computer.
With Toronto so close to the United States northern border, many people have lived or were raised in Ontario and then came to America or grew up in the states and then spent time in Canada.
