FamilySearch Adds More Compatible Partners  Find more genealogy blogs at FamilyTree.comEvery so often, FamilySearch finds partners that can add beneficial things that will help FamilySearch users to research, add to their family tree, and share their family history knowledge with the rest of their family. In July of 2016, FamilySearch announced two new partners.

FamilySearch announced that two new products and services are now compatible with FamilySearch. When they use the word “compatible”, they mean that the product interfaces with FamilySearch.org and has features that conform to FamilySearch’s strict quality standards.

One Page Genealogy is now a compatible partner of FamilySearch. It was created by the BYU Family History Technology Lab. One Page Genealogy offers a free family history chart viewer and editor.

The One Page Genealogy app can read information from your FamilySearch account. It cannot update information into your FamilySearch account. The app does not support LDS features.

The latest release of One Page Genealogy includes a simpler menu with more styling options than ever. It features a PDF conversion and save/upload capabilities. New features include the ability to add your own custom people to your chart and edit all of the data that is displayed.

The BYU Family History Technology Lab is the creator of two other apps that genealogists may find useful. One is Relative Finder. It lets you discover how you are related to Prophets, Presidents, and friends. The other is Virtual Pedigree. Both are FamilySearch certified.

Konica Minolta bizhub Connector is now a compatible partner of FamilySearch. It is designed for specific scanners/printers. Konica Minolta’s bizhub Connector for FamilySearch app provides you with seamless access to the FamilySearch website for quick and easy scanning and uploading of family history information.

You can use it to log into your FamilySearch account and begin digitally storing and preserving your historical photos and notable documents. The app also lets you enter a specific person ID to automatically associate identifying information including titles and descriptions.

The Konica Minolta bizhub Connector can read information from your FamilySearch account. It can update information into your FamilySearch Account. It cannot support LDS features.

The Konica Minolta bizhub Connector can be found tin the Photos and Stories section of the FamilySearch App Gallery. You can find The price for Konica Minolta’s bizhub Marketplace is $300.00. There is a free trial available.

One Page Genealogy can be found in the Charts and Tree Views section of the FamilySearch App Gallery. It requires a FamilySearch account or GEDCOM file. It also requires an up-to-date Firefox/Chrome web browser. One Page Genealogy is free to download and use.
