You Can Register Now for RootsTech 2015



Salt Palace Convention Center TowerDid you miss out on RootsTech 2014? You might be able to attend RootsTech 2015. It will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah, in February of 2015. Those of you who would need to travel in order to attend this huge genealogy conference may want to start planning ahead. You can now register for RootsTech 2015.

RootsTech describes itself as “a global family history event, where people of all ages learn to discover, share and celebrate their family connections across generations through technology”. It is a great place for genealogists, family historians, and the people who build and maintain genealogy related websites and apps to get together.

FamilySearch, the popular genealogy website that is maintained by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, hosts RootsTech each year. It is worth noting that RootsTech is independent of the FamilySearch affiliate program. The speakers who will appear at RootsTech are selected by independent committees.

It is possible to register for RootsTech 2015 right now. This makes it really easy for those who already know they want to attend and who have the money to book a hotel room and pay for travel expenses. You can register directly through the RootsTech website.

How much does it cost to attend RootsTech? It varies depending on if you are getting an “exclusive price” “early bird price”, “last chance price”, or the “full price”. They have a chart that can help you to see what the prices are.

The 2015 RootsTech will take place on February 12 – 14, 2015. It is possible to purchase a single day pass if you would like to attend one day of the conference. There are also two versions of the three day pass. The variety gives people the ability to fit the conference around their job, and to “pick and choose” some of what they want to see.

One is called the “3-day RootsTech Pass”. It gives you access to 200 classes (including the Getting Started Classes), the keynote speakers, and the Expo hall. There is also a “3-Day Getting Started Pass”. It gives you access to only the Getting Started Classes. You also can watch the keynote speakers and access the Expo Hall.

There will be a 1-day Innovator Summit that takes place at RootsTech 2015. It will be on February 11, 2015. There is a special pass for those who want to attend the Innovator Summit classes that day. It also lets you see the keynote speakers, have lunch, and get access to two Innovator Summit classes that will happen on February 12, 2015.
