2015 - Anniversary of 9/11

911 ground zero-aerialEveryone remembers where they were and what they were doing the Tuesday morning of the September 11, 2001 during the attack on the New York City World Trade Center. In that ground zero location now is a special 9/11 Memorial and the 9/11 Memorial Museum. The 9/11 Memorial opened September 1, 2011 and the Museum in May 2014.

To better learn about the Memorial and Museum, a special online site was created to provide details of what each represent. Besides information provided on the site, a special gallery of photos of the Memorial and Museum are present.

For the 14th anniversary on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, many different tributes, concerts, exhibits and programs are scheduled across the New York City. The most moving tribute will be the special viewing of Tribute in Light, 911 September_11th_Tribute_in_Light_from_Bayonne,_New_Jerseywhich will illuminate the New York City sky at night just south of the Memorial site. It is twin blue beams of light, representing where the original World Trade Center towers stood, and which is visible on a clear night some 60 miles away.
