'A New Leaf' – TV Show

On NBC channels a new genealogical program titled ‘A New Leaf‘ begins on Saturday morning, October 5th. It is produced by Ancestry.com and features ordinary people discovering their family history. This weekly series hosted by Daisy Fuentes will follow people on the cusp of key life inflection points, using family history, genealogy, and sometimes DNA analysis to guide them on their journey of self-discovery, and help them learn from the past while looking to the future.

Check your own local NBC stations to see the time the morning show airs. Even if you can view it then, do record it to view later. The show can also be streamed on Hulu for example.

Here is its Facebook page to provide more details and if you are interested in having your family history featured in future shows, this is a good starting point.

The very best place to start especially for a difficult search is with the local Family History Center. Here is online link for locations of Family History Centers. https://www.familysearch.org/locations/ Place your location - city - county-state--country in the top left search box. See where there is one nearby. It is free the assistance they provide. Bring with you all and any information on your father (marriage records, school records, military records), etc. If no Family History Center nearby, do a search online for any genealogical societies in your area. They are excellent also in getting you in the right direction for maybe finding about his bio-family. Good luck.

I always suggest using the 'free' resources and databases available with the community Family History Centers. They are located all across the globe. These centers are in many counties across USA and one may be close to you. Go to the FamilySearch.org web site and find the locations of Family History Centers. Even just do a search for 'Family History Centers Locations". Good luck.
