Be a 2020 Census Taker



The United States Census will be done again in 2020. The United States Census Bureau is now taking applications and hiring individuals to assist in this major undertaking. There will be a variety of temporary jobs, including census takers, recruiting assistants, office staff, and supervisory staff all across the United States.

Anyone age 18 years old or older may apply, also be a US citizen, have a Social Security card, an email address, plus a vehicle and valid driver’s license or available public transportation. Those who are veterans of the US military will be eligible for veterans’ preference.

There will be paid training provided. Pay is weekly and there are flexible hours to work. The pay scale varies with the counties and states. The time length of the work is generally several weeks in the spring of 2020.
