Findmypast has Over 100 Million European Records Online



FindmyPast announced that they have recently added a vast number of European records to their rapidly expanding international collections. They now have over 100 million new European records available online.

The new European records include over 114 million new European births, baptisms, marriages, banns, deaths, and burials. The new additions consist of transcripts sourced from the International Genealogical Index, a database compiled from a variety of sources from around the world. They span nearly five centuries of history (1502 – 1960) and cover 30 European nations.

Those European nations include: The Netherlands, Austria, Ukraine, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Russia, Germany, Italy, Norway, Hungary, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Portugal, Luxembourg, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Finland, Denmark, and Gibraltar.

All 114 million new records will generate hints against Findmypast FamilyTrees, allowing you to uncover European roots through your subscription to Findmypast with greater ease and speed than ever before.

People who have a Findmypast subscription can explore Findmypast’s World Records now. It includes the 114 million newly added records. Previously, Findmypast added 67 million records from Central America. Findmypast will add about 20 million records from South America, Asia, and the Middle East in the near future.

Findmypast points out that birth, marriage, and death records are vital genealogical records. By making it easier to access these important records, Findmypast enables its members to expand their family tree by going through the generations and adding new branches.

These records provide essential dates and locations pertaining to important life events. The records can also reveal the names of other family members such as parent’s children and spouses.
