The Kenton County Public Library has several branches, all of which are located in Kentucky. The Covington branch of the Kenton County Public Library is the one that holds genealogy classes. Here are some of the genealogy classes and events that are offered in March of 2017.

March 6, 2017: “Genealogy Tech: Locating Online Publications”
Learn about the many ways to search for and read online genealogy and history publications. This class will also be held on March 8, 2017.
March 9, 2017: “Periscope: 3G2: Glitter, Glue, and Genealogy, Too!”
Get some ideas for creating your own women’s family history scrapbook! Watch this class online on Periscope.
March 10: 2017: “Periscope: Riverfront Statues Tour”
Join the Kenton County Public Library live as they visit and discuss the Riverfront Statutes on Riverside Drive in Covington. Watch this event on Periscope.
March 12, 2017: “One-on-One Genealogy Research Assistance”
Just getting started on a family history project or looking for help with a genealogy “brick wall”? Call the Kenton County Public Library Local History & Genealogy Department and reserve a one-hour session to discuss resources and search strategies. You can also reserve a one-hour session on March 26, 2017.
March 14, 2017: “Genealogy Tech: Online Resources for Irish Genealogy”
Learn about the many online resources for discovering your Irish ancestry. This class will also be held on March 17, 2017.
March 16, 2017: “Periscope: TIL Genealogy”
Monthly live-streaming genealogy program! “TIL” stands for “today I learned”. In March, the Kenton County Public Library demonstrates how to scan photographs using the canner at the Local History and Genealogy Department in Covington.
March 22, 2017: “Periscope: “ELI5: Family History”
“What is DPI? Why is it important? Explain it like I’m Five!” Join the Kenton County Public Library for an easy to understand explanation of what DPI is and how it’s important to scanning your family photographs. View this class live on Periscope.
March 27, 2017: “Congenealogy”
Join the Kenton County Public Library for Michael Brown’s presentation, US Capital1866: A Historical Perspective & Journey, as he discusses researching the story of a historic photo, and even sharing it with U.S. Presidents.
March 30, 2017: “Put a Ring on It: Online Marriage Records Databases”
