Ohio in World War One
With the 100th anniversary in 2018 of the end of World War One, you will want to examine how your ancestors were involved – either as a soldier, Red Cross aide or on the home front in hometowns. For anyone with ties to Ohio, The World War I in Ohio Digital Collection is available online.

In the collection are found photos, documents, letters, the efforts of the home front population, the soldiers, and listings of different Ohio military divisions. 
Use the upper left search box to place a hometown, regiment or surname to see what might be available. A reminder if an ancestor lived near the border with Ohio, but did not live there, that person might have gone to Ohio to help in the war effort.
