Texas Digital Records

It is very helpful when states place online (digital format) the many records they have. This is what Texas has done with the state Texas Digital Archives (TDA) which now makes more than five and a half million records of state government, as well as business, family, and organizational papers, prints and photographs, artifacts, audio, and video available for free online. Plus more items are added every day. Go to: Texas Digital Archives to see and work with the site.

Their free collections to search and use include: Manuscripts, Prints and Photographs, Online Exhibits and other online collections. For each topic, there is a search at the top of that page.

Just never know what you might find. If you had ancestors living or working in Texas at any time frame, you will want to check this out.
