Genes Reunited

A United Kingdom genealogical site Genes Reunited offers the U. K. censuses from 1841 to 1911. There are also the birth, marriage and death records registered from 1837 to 1965 available. From the U. K. Register Office comes the data on overseas and military births-marriages and deaths. The death records for the British military is available for World War One and Two.

Besides the numerous databases, the researcher can create their own family tree. Numerous programs and instructions are included to assist in building the tree. Printable charts are obtainable at the site. Family photos can be added to the family tree as well as be shared with others. There are message boards to contact with others who share similar family names.

The site has three levels of subscriptions. From Standard level, it has the ability to contact other members from one’s search results, link up to view other members’ trees when they invite you to do so and add messages to the message boards. The cost of the subscription does not include credits for their records section. These have to be purchased separately.

At the Gold level, one can be able to contact other members, link up to view other members’ trees when they invite them to do so, post photos on their family tree and add messages to the message boards. A researcher would have unlimited access to the site’s records section (such as BMD records, census records and military and overseas records), except for the 1911 census.

With the Platinum level, one can be able to contact other members, link up to view other members’ trees when they invite you to do so, post photos on their family tree and add messages to the message boards. There would be unlimited access to Genes Reunited records section (such as BMD records, census records, including the 1911 census, military and overseas records).
